1. Problem-Based Learning for the Secondary Science Classroom
Problem-based learning (PBL) is a methodology of teaching students to develop thinking skills. Instead of the teacher delivering the content in a very formal manner, this method of teaching enables the students to learn the material by enquiry and asking questions to solve a problem. By undertaking this learning method, students learn to not only ask the right questions to solve a problem but the theory behind the problem. The teachers comes the facilitator of the learning. As a facilitator you will observe your students evolve into independent thinkers who enjoy discovering the answers themselves.
You will be provided with step-by-step handouts that can be adapted for use within your classroom. Once you start teaching using PBL you will be amazed to see the level of understanding students develop using this method of teaching.

3. Teaching VCE Biology for beginning teachers
